EEO Services
EEO Counseling
Each employee is different, and so to is our approach to each EEO case we counsel. CTWC has counseled hundreds of employees and managers in the processing of Title VII EEO complaints. We work with each aggrieved employee and manager to attempt to resolve the matter informally. We do not simply "go through the motions" of the informal process to allow provide the aggrieved with the right to file a formal complaint. We also pay careful attention to the clients' timelines to ensure that each complaint is processed within the guidelines of EEOC Management Directive 110.
EEO Mediation
Often times the EEO complaint process does not allow the aggrieved and management to talk 'to' each other. Rather the process encourages parties to talk 'at' each other through attorneys or their representatives. CTWC recognizes the many advantages that come with mediation and other alternative dispute resolution techniques. Even in cases where we are not able to come to an agreement, we leave the workplace better equipped to resolve the next conflict without the need for a visit to the EEO office. Having received training through the Northern Virginia Mediation Service and the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, CTWC stands ready to assist your agency in resolving employment disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
Group Facilitation
In some cases, an employment dispute is not between individuals but rather groups of people. CTWC has also conducted group facilitation for several agencies allowing for the rare opportunity to speak frankly about issues employees face within a team, division or directorate. CTWC is skilled at allowing for the exchange of sensitive information in an environment where people are safe and are encouraged to get to the root cause of miscommunication. Whether it's teambuilding or a high number of EEO complaints in one area, group facilitation may the answer you need to return to performing your agency's mission.
